When asked what prompted him to provide the narration for such a clip, Randall explains, My sister showed me the original honey badger video and the narration is so mundane and so stupid. This animal eats King Cobras, demolishes animals, and this narrator that is so boring, so I said, 'we need to spice this thing up. Seriously, he tells TMZ. The book takes a look at a number of strange creatures in the animal kingdom from the honey badger and the opossum to the pink fairy armadillo to the Tasmanian devil.
When asked why he was inspired to create a viral video promoting the honey badger, Randall explains, I think [the honey badger is] an animal that a lot of people can relate to. I think a lot of people are fed up, a lot of people want to take what they want It was a blast watching the viewcount grow so quickly — very surreal to say the least.
CG : It was definitely a case of opportunity knocking, and wanting to take advantage while the iron was hot. After years in comedy, I decided to stick with content that educates the masses about wildlife in a relatable, funny way.
They gotta do whatever they can to stay alive. I also owe a lot of my success to my two managers — Josh Kesselman and Danny Sherman from ThruLine Entertainment — who were instrumental in getting me repped by William Morris. They also helped with merchandise and a book deal with Andrews McNeel.
Live video is always a blast because it has an immediate impact. Getting more political has been rough since the United States is so divided.
Some viewers are bound to take offense. Anger-viewing is something many people partake in, so I try my best to keep things balanced and focus on the absurdity of it all.
I feel the greatest interaction these days from TopBuzz and Twitter. Both platforms allow for the most freedom of expression in my humble opinion.
Then, I had the great pleasure of [creator strategy and partnerships manager] Austin Null reaching out to tell me more about the platform. I was instantly intrigued and did some research and realized what an amazing opportunity it would be. But I look forward to creating content exclusively for TopBuzz. Just barely. Above we have proof that the Honey Badger has a face, from what TMZ claims is the first ever footage of Randall, who narrates the famed badger along with a host of other animal videos on his YouTube channel Randall's Wild Wild World of Animals.
But even though we see his face in human form, looking quite uncomfortable in this TMZ footage, from what we can tell via his life exploits, Randall is very much a Web being. Frankly put, this is a book about animals that's written for those of us who aren't into the long Latin names or dry paragraphs about animal habits. Randall condenses all of these facts into a few pages per animal and it's incredibly fun.
Condensed and funny He also has an animated TV show in the works, reports TMZ, meaning he presumably spends time offline doing that.
