Jesus what do i do now

But the sacrifice they made was temporary and had to be done every year. But then Jesus came to earth and was made like us. He understood our pain, our fears, the heartache of loss, the struggle to resist sin, and everything else we experience.

He was able to empathize with our weaknesses , but He did not sin. His sinless life made Him the perfect sacrifice for our sins. And through His death and resurrection, He paved the way for us to choose to have a relationship with God, forever! Jesus has full authority and all power and is actively interceding for you and me right here, right now, and forever.

When Jesus died and entered heaven, He was seated at the right hand of God. The right hand of God is a place of honor, authority, blessing, and power. And in that seat of honor and with all of His power and authority, Jesus is interceding for us! He is our Great High Priest, the middle man between us and the Father.

Positioned between us and holy God, Christ declares our righteous standing because of His sacrifice and our faith in Him. He is also arranging all the events necessary for His return.

And we, as His followers, should be doing the same thing. He saved us for the purpose of reflecting His life in our work, attitudes, words, and behavior.

We are His body—His eyes, ears, voice, feet, and hands—pointing others to Him. Share this. What is Jesus Doing Now? One of the leaders came to Jesus with a simple question.

Now the question was simple but tricky. There were hundreds of laws laid out in the Bible for the Jews to follow. How could Jesus narrow it down to one great commandment that was better than all the rest? This is the first and great commandment.

On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets. It serves as the second thing God wants you to do with your life. We are to:. If we do those two things, we are living out the essence of what God wants for us.

By loving God with all our being, we will choose to follow and be obedient to him. By loving others, we have the chance to be used by God to bring other people to the knowledge of Him. Not that these two things are easy. We have issues [i. And we also have things that get in the way of us loving those around us. However, those two things are clearly His desire for us.

Jesus said all the laws and prophecies of the Bible have their origin in those two commands. If we try our best to fulfill both of them, we will be right on track to doing what God wants. The third instance where we might ask the What does God want me to do? Maybe you are looking at where to go to college or who to marry or what career decision to make. Or maybe you are struggling with some other personal issue and feel directionless and that there is no way out.

The challenge with difficult life decisions is that no one other person can tell you exactly what to do. You can seek counsel from others but the decision has to come from you. Here James write s,. Wisdom — given liberally by God — to make the right decision. God will guide us into the right answer when we ask.

The understanding of the answer may take some time but God will direct our thoughts if we let Him. When we pray and ask for help in making a decision, God will grant us wisdom.

But we can feel it. We can know it. We can experience it. What does God want me to do with my life? Clearly he wants me to know Him. Especially I can pray for wisdom and be patient for the answer.

Are you dealing with a difficult circumstance right now? What can we do more of to show love to those around us? For my day job, I'm a high school government and economics teacher and school counselor at a private Christian school.

In my off hours, I love collecting baseball cards, running my rental real estate properties, going on vacations with my four kids and hearing my wife talk about all the cool things CPAs do at work. Connect with me on Facebook and Twitter. Read More…. I have these problems which I tried to solve with my own strength but failed. But still something in my heart? Idont know what to do in my life. After reading this entire article it give me light again also I confessed my sin and wanted to back again with him, but Im afraid of turning back again in my hell life.

So nicely done on overcoming the first issue, admitting that your are hurting and have these spiritual battles. Recognition of sin has to come before there is forgiveness. In regards to sin, let me say that everyone does. No one is immune. No one is perfect. Everyone backslides at some point or in a moment of weakness.

But I believe that sometimes we beat ourselves up too much over our failures. That can lead to shame which is such a deadly poison in our lives that causes even more damage. Finally, the fact that we do sin is the reason forgiveness is available. I John says that if we confess our sin He Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and make our lives whole again cleanse us from our unrighteousness.

And the beauty of it is that there is not an end to how often forgiveness is available and there is no sin you can commit that cannot be forgiven. David was an adulterer, liar, and murdering all in one event see II Samuel And Saul in the New Testament hunted down Christians to kill them before God reached him and he became a Christian himself and a missionary sharing the gospel.

Yet both men were forgiven, served God and are considered some of the most important men in the Bible. So there is literally nothing you can do that cannot be forgiven. I have been looking for a platform where I can air my issues and just get sound, biblical advice and I thank God for this one. You know sometimes you read the bible but do not understand what you read or you pray and its just quiet. God has delivered me from hell and I can honestly say He send His Son Jesus Christ to die for me because of the way my life was going, I was supposed to dead by now but He intervened and I am so grateful.

Now my question is how do I do what He is telling me to do. I mean its easy for me to stay in prayer and be good and love Him and people all by myself but as soon as I am in the presence of people I struggle. I either just keep quiet or just feel totally uncomfortable.

Then I go home and cry about the situation to God and He gives me peace and the next day I just fall back into the same trap in a different situation. I fail God so much on a daily basis, I am so hopeless. I love Jesus with everything in me but I am such a failure when it comes to doing what He says. Hey Qwen…I here what you are saying. Living the Christian life is not easy. Nobody ever said it would be.

Jesus told us that we would experience challenges and trials and that others would hate us because of what we believe. And standing up for him and sharing our faith is one of the most difficult things we can do. I think you are being too hard on yourself.

One of the best things you can do is live a consistent godly life so that others can see that there is a difference in you. Are there times when that is necessary? But my experience has been that people are more drawn to your actions than your words. Words often turn people off.

They come across as judgmental. Actions though make them curious. If they see you living a godly life, then they may wonder what makes you different than everyone else they see. You are not a failure…you are growing in your faith just like the rest of us.

Accept the peace that comes with that knowledge. I give of my time, money, and any experiences that I can share but my problem comes from hating myself. How can I switch this and learn to love myself as I love others? Is it something you have done? He loves us despite who we are. He died for the worst sinners imaginable. During the end of my junior college fb season in I tore my acl and lost all my scholarships. Or so I thought. I just found out yesterday that I am academically ineligible to transfer to the school that I believe God really gave me a peace about.

There is hope I can get my eligibility back. I just want Gods peace, I just wanna do what he wants me to do. Keep on trying. Perhaps it is a case of first things first. Get your academic eligibility straightened out and then you can play. Hang in there. Hang in there! You are young and there is lots of opportunity to play and get your education.

There is not time limit on either. First I would like to say I am trying to follow those 2 commands that Jesus said. Now those commands are for everybody and not specifically directed at individuals. Do you notice the emphasis on me?

I need to know what God wants me specifically to do. I live in poverty with no way out. Without skills or talents the only way I know how to help people is to pay for the services to help them. But alas endless poverty makes that impossible. Thanks for the opportunity to say my piece, and God bless you, in Jesus name, Amen. God be with you.
